Host: Ableton Live 9.2.2 New session; place Stereo Tool onto audio or master track; Click the "show Stereo Tool" checkbox in the otherwise blank window; result: endless beachball, have to force-quit the app. This really IS going to work correctly someday, yes? |

Has to be a host related problem. I tested with Reaper (4.78, 64Bit) and haven't had any trouble with the 7.73 so far. Hope Hans will find the problem. |

It's clear that (again) the problem is in wxWidgets. The plugin loads file and the window that I made with the checkbox does too, when you open the GUI (which initialized wxWidgets) it crashes. I hate wxWidgets  I think the only solution will be to make a native version, without using annoying and resource heavy libraries. By the way, it might also be another issue: Apparently a recent MacOS 10.9 security update is causing wxWidgets programs to crash. Are you using 10.9?

Thanks for the reply Hans. OS is 10.10.5. Hardware is iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) 4 GHz i7, 32gb RAM. I just downloaded the current 64-bit version of Reaper (5.0.1), and Stereo Tool doesn't show up when trying to load effects on the master output. A "native" version certainly sounds like a good idea, hope it doesn't take too long to put that together. |
