Jock want to monitor thru their headphones using off air receiver. Anyone have a setting that cuts the delay to a minimum? Thanks 7.73 Rocks !!! |

Hi Oldies, Take an existing preset which doesn't have too many or too steep bass bands in the multiband section, and lower the Latency setting as far as you find acceptable (the sound degrades when you go down). You might also have to turn off 'Phase Delay'. Of course, use ASIO at the lowest possible latency (ASIO block size 64 for 192 kHz should work if your pc is fast enough). Minimum possible latency is 16 ms. I would set the latency to 1024, not 512, since 512 has too much effect on the sound. That will give you a latency of around 27 ms. Whether that's acceptable or not to the dj depends on the dj... |

TY Using ASIO with Marian Trace alpha. computer is core 2 quad Q9300 iirc.May try 64 block size and latency 1024. would not want to do 512. want to keep the sound pristine. |

I'm not sure, but it could be that with a Q9300 you won't be able to get the latency as low as you could with newer hardware. It probably won't make much difference though (but still some).
