Hello The installation went well, sounds great! But after a time the music sounds like it's underwater. Example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ovoq4iplyb8nx ... d.mp3?dl=0 When I restart StereoTool is okay (for a certain period of time). What can this be? I'm using the 64-bit standalone version on a Win7 PC |

Underwater? More like abrupt.. Have you tried to increase output buffer size? Is you CPU maxing out? If even large buffers are constantly running out, reason lies in performance factors since it can't keep up. Solution to this is to disable resource hog filters or decrease their "Strictness"/"CPU" value if one has it. |

I had exactly the same issue and the cause was synchronization between input and output sound cards. To solve it for me, in Sound Cards -> Input, check "Synchronize to Output" and set resampling quality. Mine is set at 10 and ST keeps up fine. Hans gave me some good advice regarding the buffer and checking ST is able to cope with settings... M: 0.xxxx (how full the buffer is) x: 0.xxxx (the amount of adjustment / re-sampling ST is performing) Drag the resampling quality slider as high as you can so the buffer (M) does not continuously deplete / reduce. Mine shows... M: 0.9992, x: 1.000 which tells me the buffer is keeping up and no major resampling is taking place. Sound quality has improved significantly. Hope this helps. BeDazzler. |
