When Stereo Tool 7.70 was released, it included a new preset from me that replaces the old "Wes Keene - 7 Band Medium" preset. The replacement to that preset is called "Wes Keene - Expression".

Since the release of 7.70, I have made significant improvements to several aspects of the preset. Attached, you'll find the newest version (5) that will be included in the next release of StereoTool. But there is no reason you can't start using it now, if you wish.

The new version features a more pleasing overall tonal balance, particularly in cars, good headphones, and in any system capable of reproducing bass well. It also features numerous improvements to the multiband timing values that enhance consistency and fix edge cases where increases in the loudness of one band could temporarily dwarf the rest of the spectrum.

In summary, I simply ran out of time to do the tweaking required to perfect Expression prior to 7.70's release, and have now had time to go back and make it the professional grade major-market sounding preset it needs to be.

This is a digital-only preset, but nothing would stop you from enabling the FM section and using it there, too. If you do so, I'd love to hear your thoughts on its use in that context.
