If you look a few threads back, you'll see the release of Expression version 5. This preset builds on that version, and improves on bass.

In comparison, the midrange and high end are mostly unchanged, while the texture of the bass is dramatically altered. The bass is less compressed during passages that are relatively compressed in the lower frequencies already, allowing more of the midrange and high end to pierce through to the final limiter. On the other hand, compared to version 5, the bass bands in the multiband compressor are more easily able to respond to greater differences in level.

Overall, the effect is a more consistent low end across different types of music and a convincing low end in cars, in headphones, and on high end systems, without sounding boomy or muddy.

Loudness is virtually unchanged from version 5.

Expression is aimed at the following formats:

- Rock and Alternative
- CHR/Pop and CHR/Rhy
- Hot AC

With some minor adjustments, it will work very well at Country as well. Please inquire, if interested.
