First of all I want to say hi. I've got like 300€ to spend. I'm looking for a sound card with "what u hear"/"stereo mix" option or any DAC, that let me stream audio using broadcast. I did buy already AIM SC 808 but suddenly can't use it with RadioBoss. Sorry for my bad english, and thanks for help. |

Marian Trace Alpha works great and doesn't require calibration (nearly every other card does). ESI Juli@ is pretty good too but it requires calibration. There may also be differences in latency between cards (I don't know if the USB cards can reach the same latency as PCI(e) cards). I have never tested the Maya so I can't say anything about that. |

if you just need the "what you hear" function i'd say go for a free option http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Voicemeeter/ ![]() donationware and works like a charm even works great with stereotool outputs (tested) cheers marco |

Well, since you need it for streaming only and some basic routing, i recommended Maya44 since it has 2+2 stereo in/outs. + mic and phantom. Anyway Marian Trace Alpha is ofcourse very good soundcard but it's about twice more expensive. |

O I didn't read properly, oops! Yes, no need to get a Marian for streaming. In fact, depending on what your stream input signal is, you might not need a sound card at all! If you want to capture audio coming from some automation program (many support DSP or VST plugins, in which case you can load Stereo Tool inside the automation program!), anyway, if that doesn't work, you can use a program like Virtual Audio Cable (paid) or VB Cable (free, donationware) to send audio from one program to another. No need to buy hardware. |

My goal is to get better sound quality than onboard alc. I know basics and did use VAC and similar software already. Is there a chance, that expensive soundcard will increase quality of the sound I'm streaming? Or should i go other way to do this with another hardware? Hope you guys understand my intentions and it's great to have advices from you. Cheers. |

VAC or VB Cable is as good as or better than any sound card that you could use. So, unless you need the input, there's no need to even have a sound card. |
