Hi Everyone, I'm trying to tweak Stereo Tool to get the best sound, however I have yet to find a preset that provides great sound for a genre as wide-ranging as Alternative Rock, which can go from pop songs to hard rock. Stream Link - http://avbhost.com/listen/alternativeradio/alt128.pls Audio of what I'm trying to achieve - http://www.mediafire.com/listen/z4v8v1c ... eaudio.mp3 Basically, it provides a consistent sound/levels without making a particular type of music sound "off". Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated. |

Am getting there now using "Baron" as my base. However, there are some what I would describe as "pumping" being generated, such as at the beginning of "Scar Tissue" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Any way to curb that? |

The beginning of Scar Tissue has those harmonics in the original! Solution: Use the Declipper! |

Got it. If you listen to the stream, it sounds a bit smashed down. I tried adjusting the density, but it doesn't seem to help very much. Are there some other settings that can be adjusted to open up the sound but still maintain the consistency in the levels? It's mainly noticeable on a harder rock songs, such as "Heart-Shaped Box" by Nirvana. |
