Hi,

Actually we use the analog input in sound card.
We use in upstream a Barix box.

It is possible to play directly the stream in input of stereotool instead the Barix box ?

How ? With VLC ?

ok it's good,

Vlc install on pc and the Stream url directly.

It is possible switch many URL, like barix box.

Example:
If the first url not responding, switch to another automaticaly.

Hm I should probably add support for that as well in the future. ST can communicate with VLC so you can directly receive a stream with ST, but there's no option (yet) to switch to another stream. I'm guessing you use VAC or VB Cable now?

ok it is a good idea to add this feature in the next build of stereotool

Example:
- Stream 1
- Stream 2
- File list locally on hard drive like *.mp3 - wav etc...

Like a barix box,
if the first Stream is not avaiable the box switch to another URL and if the another url is not disponible barix box play USB key.
When the first Stream is avaiable the box swich in priority on the Stream n°1


This will get rid barixbox and increase the quality of audio because the sound card integrated in barixbox is not really good...

Well it's a bit too much work to put it in the next build :( but it is on my todo list. Thing is that the whole sound card/streaming handling must be rewritten for that, and I also want it to support things like Kernel Streaming, DirectX audio, on Mac the standard sound card handling, reading from file or writing output to file etc.. With automatic switching when there's no input or an error on a specific input etc. And on top of that synchronization between the different inputs and outputs. So.... a lot of work.

Yes, but for a future version is a good idea.

Lot of radios receive a Stream at the broadcast site, it will remove them "box", PC or other, and increase the audio quality because STE receive direct the Stream, not transform by an analog device in upstream.
