For all you golden ears out there, here's a challenge :

http://dfiles.eu/files/vx1ve9bgw
(89 MB FLAC file - downloads in 7 minutes in "regular mode" @ around 200 KB/s)

Can you spot the sound processor used in this recording ?
Spoiler : Stereo Tool is part of the audio chain used for this sound.

How does this sound by your standards ?

This is recorded directly from the receiver's output's, with stereo decoded. No further processing was done.

Cant tell exactly what processor it is but it sounds pretty bad to be honest, there's a lot of pumping, ducking and distortion. Hmm, maybe Sonos MBL ?

Well that is bad :D Don't know what it is - Sonos4 would be clipping a lot. Apart from that and overmod (this might be caused by tilt, which I noticed) - also some serious phase issues there.

It's time to unvail the.... Breakaway Broadcast Processor !

The heart of this sound is breakaway, with a factory preset called "Reference Heavy". To compensate for the serious peaks that breakaway misses out, an additional
Behringer 9024 compressor was added in series. At the input of all this, there is a free version of Stereo Tool which only uses a turned up stereo expander :)))

And you ate the pudding when you wrote it.

Actually more like vomited afterwards ;) (Behringer...). I can't get what peaks actually would be "missed out" after Breakaway... I'd say the signal is tilted seriously at the output - hence "the peaks". You can actually see the tilt numerous times on this sample. My guess is the Behringer made it even worse (pumping).
