I notice that no matter what my settings I can NOT get rid of an "echo" to my speech when using stereo tool in real time. Meaning if I say "hello this is a test" .. it comes out fine at a decent volume but then I hear the exact same text at a reduced volume . This 'reduced' volume audio echo actually will go out on the air. So everything I say is repeated a second time at a lower volume. I am using Windows with a very fast computer and ASIO with a variety of things from M-Audiophile 192 card to a UAD Apollo. This happens even at 192Khz and an extremely low buffer . Any advice? Thanks

Is that from speakers?
Does this happens if speakers are off ?

I SOLVED my latency problem. What I seem unable to accomplish now is a sound that has the quality of Breakaway. There seems to be some 'noise' that I seem unable to get rid of, it just doesn't sound as 'clean' as what I can get from Breakaway. I don't know if purchasing a license will bring in options to improve on what I am hearing. Thanks by the way for the help. My usage is in real time broadcasting and I am monitoring my transmit sound in another receiver.

Well w/ or w/o license audio quality is same just you will hear "beep" or "ad".

Noise? Are you maybe using a Breakaway pipeline?

You don't want to accomplish the quality of Breakaway--unless you air a format that never has dry male voice on it. Stereo Tool has that squeaky clean National Public Radio quality on male voice. I gave up trying to get my voice to sound less than harsh with Breakaway long ago.
