The equalizer is very uncomfortable to try different settings , because changing its setting should be redrawn and that takes time and does not always equal . One option is to record the same with different preset EQ settings , but not comfortable for comparison A / B. On the other hand, most of the times you repeat the EQ presets or have a different set configurations likes. In that case, the EQ is not transportable from one preset to another , except by editing the preset values copying and taking them to another . My proposal is that the EQ, allows saving "user preset" EQ curves then can be selected from a combobox. These presets could be saved in a separate file to the selected preset and the preset settings to be recorded as today the preset file. This would facilitate the use of prerecorded curves, saving time and effort in trying to draw the same curve in other presets. ![]() |

I agree, while the EQ works great, entering the curve you want is a pain. Its not just selecting presets that needs to be added, I would love a way to enter a curve like a parametric EQ: Some boxes that allow me to add amplitude, center frequency and bandwidth. Then an ADD button which applies this filter to the existing EQ. That way you could build your curve up by adding corrections with the keyboard instead of drawing with a mouse. ST has a plethora of buttons for every little function but the EQ looks like one of those magic drawing toys that you erase by shaking it. (Sorry Hans) |
