Post subject:  Issue Hissing Noise

Hey everyone I wanted to post this up to ask if anyone knows or has any idea why i might be getting a hissing noise from my standalone stereo tool computer when nothing is playing through it.
My fix for this so far has been to simply turn my output down so you don't hear it in the final output.

This is my setup
Ipod(PC) -> Mixer -> 2x 6.5 jacks mono to 1x 3,5 Stereo jack into Stereo tool PC -> then output to final ICE CAST stream PC
I think it might be some kind of ground issue as i am using all standard inbuilt soundcards  (nothing special as only doing tests at this stage)

If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it.

Cheers,
Jono

- Is all stuff at same sample rate (44.100Hz) - player pc, ST PC, IceCast PC.. ?
- Is FM and "FM output" ON in ST ?

Give us stream link from that IceCast maybe we can recognize problem :)

Hi Bojcha

Thanks for such a quick reply.
That is something I haven't checked (the HZ rate) I will check it ASAP.
I am running stereo tool with the Vvcfdcfd - Latotal Preset and I don't believe it has FM output active.
All i have changed only the fake stereo Setting back to normal.

The stream wasn't an internet stream unfortunately. (running it through a LAN@128mp3)
When I do take a look at it, i will record a sample of the noise and upload it as an attachment

Thanks again for your fast reply,
Jono
