Could somebody send some suggestions my way for an Active Rock/Metal station? I would like a clean, detailed, consistent sound that doesn't necessary need to be 'loud'. I am currently using the Fidelia preset and am VERY pleased with the audio quality; however I am experiencing some pumping I would like to squash. I am a noob to Stereo Tool and seem to do more damage than good with my tweaks...LOL. Thanks in advance! |

Hi, do you talk about FM or Web needs? |

BTW... I love the sound of your preset! If I could just minimize the pumping I would be in heaven...LOL. |

Can you define "pumping", or even better to give me some clear example? |

Well, I'm running into a lot of tracks from AC/DC, Godsmack and the like that have a series of 'drum hit, pause, drum hit' that will ramp up in volume quickly and then drop quickly as the sequence takes place. Is there a way to slow this process and make the volume more consistent? If you'd like you can listen to the stream at: http://www.uncontrollednoize.com ![]() Thanks Bojcha! |

Ah good that i asked. O that would be fast AGC up speed, but not only that. volume burst also! Will check now with preset im working on now. Also because it uses new multiband and way better AGC. |

I'm not sure if it is just the "up speed", but rather too fast of an up speed for the given target output level. Might try reducing the target output to -6 or -7 and see if that helps.

I highly recommend Baron. Turn off all the fm features. It is phenomenal. |
