I understand stereo tools has the 10 band multi band compressor. at what frequencies are the crossovers? |

Frequencie in ST MB is number for "Band frequencie" crossover freqencie is between two bands so, for example... - for band3 and band4 (170Hz and 340Hz) is, (170+340)/2=255Hz - for band9 and band10 (10kHz and 15kHz) is, (10+15)/2 = 12.5kHz etc.. |

This being so, it would be clearer to show the center frequency for best performance?- for band3 and band4 (170Hz and 340Hz) is, (170+340)/2=255Hz - for band9 and band10 (10kHz and 15kHz) is, (10+15)/2 = 12.5kHz etc.. Or give the options a checkbox. ![]() |

The frequency that is displayed is the frequency where the volume for that band is the highest - with a 20% region around it in both directions where it stays at that level. Then it drops to 0 at 20% above or below the adjacent band frequencies. |

So from what I understand, the displayed frequency is the frequency band center. Is that so? ![]() |

Yes, more or less - the steepness to the higher frequenties is less steep though (if they are further apart). |
