The thing is that the singleband compressor itself is really bad, and in desparate need of a redesign. (In fact it's the first audio processing filter that I ever wrote, some time in the 1990s). Although there are some people who seem to like it

...also .. with bit faster speeds lower band is much cleaner!! Also it act like protection (when well adjusted). |
