Hello sorry for my newbi question, but here it is, i'm using VST stereoToll it works great,i'm using asio4all in the vst channel and if i let ST in 4096 mode i'm having small cuts in sound, if i use 2048 sound is OK, is there a difrence between this two values, i'm i have to worry about my sound quality in 2048 or not ???? Sorry for the question.... thanks |

Hello, what a honor i'm using your preset Adiction V11 it rocks, for the cpu load is 35-40% Quadcore. I notice if i change from Asio4all to WDM that prob doen't occurs ! |

Most likely, what happens is the following: 1. Your VST host sends (small) blocks of data to Stereo Tool 2. Whenever Stereo Tool has enough data (4096 samples if that's the selected latency), it will process that data, thus blocking the host until the processing is finished. Now if the VST hosts sends out the data with a very short latency, you might get this behavior. Solution: Increase the VST host output buffer size. (WDM has a bigger output buffer than ASIO, so it makes sense that it works fine with WDM). Or, indeed, lower the latency in Stereo Tool. The difference in quality between 2048 and 4096 is small, but 4096 is slightly better. |
