Hmmm....maybe you could create an option where the user can choose how many bands are used?
That seems like the best of both worlds

I would really like more bands (maybe 12-16) in the multiband compressor/limiter. It would also be cool to have an expander and/or a multiband expander. But don't get me wrong, I love stereo tool!! |

Actually almost everone else asks for _less_ bands! About the expander: There was one in some of the BETA versions for 6.20, but I wasn't happy with it yet (for some songs the result sounded really great, but it had artifacts and an insanely high CPU load). But I will make one soon, based on what I've learned since I made that expander I think I can now make a much better one. |

Yes, an option to select how many bands would be useful. Curious to see results with 4/5/6 bands only. |

Will be part of a big Multiband redesign that I've been talking about for more than 6 months now... But still haven't had time to start with it. |
