Please make a streaming input that does not use VLC.

Also please consider a streaming input for the STAMP as I have a need to feed an AM stereo station with Left and Right and I can't figure out how you are supposed to get audio in to the raspberry PI.

The I/O is in the middle of being rewritten. FFMPEG will be supported for both input and output, so with the right arguments, you should be able to feed it just about anything.

To get audio into their Raspberry Pi, most folks either buy a HiFiBerry HAT to plug into the GPIO pins, or get a USB device/interface that supports the input format they need (TOSlink, Coax, TRS, XLR, etc). But with the new I/O FFMPEG support, I assume STAMP will get streaming input support as well once it comes out.
