Hi everyone,

Sorry if this topic has already been discussed here — I searched but couldn’t find anything related.

I’m running Stereo Tool 10.70 (Linux GUI version).

Setup details:
• Input 1: AES67 Livewire (main program feed).
• Output: HD AES67 Livewire only — stable for ~10 days, 24/7, no issues.
• Input 2: ALSA device (ESI U24XL), configured as failover.

Issue observed:
• Occasionally, Input 2 is going on air and mixing with Input 1, even though Input 1 remains active.
• I can’t determine what triggers this switch—or mixing—or what it takes to revert to the nominal state (Input 1 only).
• I hadn’t tested Input 2 on previous versions, so I’m not sure if this is new behavior in 10.70.

Questions:
• Has anyone noticed similar behavior?
• Any idea what might trigger Input 2 to go live or how to prevent mixing?
• How can I ensure failover works only when Input 1 actually fails?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Your input1 is low. You just need to set threshold lower.
