I bought a licence years ago for declipper and natural dynamics. I can't paste my license number or type it in

Let me guess, VST plugin? Many hosts for some reason aren't capable of passing keyboard data to the plugins properly. For this, you would want to right-click and paste the clipboard from the menu. At this point, the confirm button may still be greyed out, but it should still work if you click it.

I hope this helps.

It is a vst but none of the above functioned. Maybe the license is only good for older versions

The license should be good for all future versions. Are you saying the right click didn't expand a menu at all? Or it wouldn't paste your key? Which version of ST are you using, 10.30?

License keys are valid for all versions; we have updated our licensing mechanism in 2008, but any license given out since 2008 should work in any version of the software from after 2008.

If pasting won't work at all, here's another workaround:
  • Make sure that Stereo Tool and the VST host application are closed
  • Open the fiie C:\Users\username/vst_stereo_tool.ini in a text editor
  • Search for a line "Registration key=", and paste your key (including the < and >, no extra spaces) after it
  • Save the file
If you start Stereo Tool again now it should be licensed.

OK that worked. I couldn't for the life of me copy and paste the number in the allotted space.
All the best
