Hi Hans,

Just to let you know that there seems to be a problem when installing the latest DSP version of ST.

Version - Beta 10.31-035 (July 13 2024)
Stereo Tool - Winamp DSP 32-bit

It does not seem to install correctly and is therefore not available to choose from the list of Plugins.
This happens for me in both: WinAMP and SECaster software.

Ah, yeah it won't work in WACUP either. It's a dependency issue, it's saying.

Oh! I experimentally added an AAC encoder (which seems to work partially, valid AAC data is streamed, but at least with a ShoutCast server playback fails because the wrong mimetype is reported and I don't know how to change that). Anyway, I assume that something went wrong with the additional DLL file.

Edit: For those interested, AAC streaming works fine via IceCast, including song info updates etc. So we will soon have this available, but... I can't enable it automatically for existing licenses because we need to pay a license fee per license sold. It's not much but I don't want to have to pay it for every license that we've ever sold. So we need to figure out how to do this.

BETA036 is available. While we're handling licensing it, we cannot yet offer it officially so if you enable AAC streaming, it puts Stereo Tool in unregistered mode, adding nagging sounds. (We need to pay for each license sold, we'll try to find a way to enable this for existing users without charging extra).

Beta 32 runs fine.

Confirmed; same issue here, also with VST2. We'll look into it.

Thought I'd enable AAC to try, but got an exception message - OverseerThread: Required DLL file not found.
Is there a dll needed to get this to work? (Standalone Win 32 bit)

No, the DLL should be included.. but I discovered today that there was a dependency to another DLL, so maybe that's it. That's solved now, so the next build might work. (I won't run a build tonight; there are several issues that need fixing first).

Okay, great. Will wait until you run the next build, but have PM'ed you the error anyway.

New build is running. Streaming (MP3, OGG, AAC) is now also working in Linux, but I need to solve 2 issues: The software needs to work (just like in Windows) if it cannot find the .so files, and I need a way to include those .so files in the download.
