Would it be even posible as an App? Would it drain your battery to soon? Is there enough CPU? Sometines subways are very noisy and you lose part of the low volume music, or you can't hear someone in the podcast, etc. Plus, I thing dynamic range is a little overrated; to me, more important than volume is intention, which can be percieved anyway.

i don't think that will be possible as stereo tool takes quite a lot of cpu power to run.

but then again you never know. :?:

i can tell you it will not work on an intel atom 1.6ghz with all the stuff turned on.
i have to turn the loudness off and the stereo imaging off. then it works fine.

but not a bad idea.

Well they are coming out with dual core Android phones very soon. I love my Droid-X. As fast as it is I don't think ST would work very well on a single core 1ghz CPU/GPU. Would be pretty awesome to see someday. :)

Ok, but I think there could be a "Stereotool Lite", which could set aside some of its features and leave only the most important; then it could only work with a low value of the quality slider (most of us can“t really hear any difference unless you compare both extremes); most certainley loudness is not needed (I've tested this indirectly in my ipod); and so on. On the other hand, there are amazing games there, with very extreme graphics, that are running with no problem at all, so I believe it should be possible.

Maybe the real question is if it is worth the effort (I'm certain that form an business view it would), or if the developer is willing to make that effort, since it seems to me that Stereotool is intended for other purposes, and us (people that just hear music in thier pc's, ipod, car stereo, etc.) are really a minority here. But, since this topic is called wish list ...

Daniel
