Hi, I'm using stereo tool to use in combination with my belkin fm transmitter to play music from my laptop on my stereo. However, I can't get a good preset to sound right. There's either not enough bass (bass is there at times, but disappears often), or the sound is too full (not enough dynamic range) Therefore I would like to try to see if anyone can get close to the sound I would like to have, it's a Dutch commercial radio station, so they probably have better equipment, but I like how it has both a clear (dynamic) and full sound, enough bass, constant mid, and a clear high-end. I'm wondering how stereo tool can get that same sound. Listen here |

The Belkin won't be able to give a good dynamic. There are two reasons. Filtering and Limiting. Both are very sub-standard. The limiter is non adjustable and won't provide enough amplitude. It would become distorted if it were any higher. Those little one chip FM Transmitters just won't cut the mustard for high end audio. Sorry. |

Okay... suppose I would have an audio cable, would you be able to reproduce the sound? |

Not sure I understand. Could you rephrase the question? On another note ... To reproduce any sound that comes from a radio station would be nearly impossible. Too many variables. Most all stations have "that unique sound" thats been tweaked by audio specialists. Not much telling what equipment they have and how they have it set up. Best thing to do is experiment and get as close as you can. |
