I know but..Gating level + 1/100 in seconds ?... i don`t know .
Gating is a level relative to threshold. I must add that it hardly seems to work - in fact it DOES work but it's a sliding gate - if the level reaches half the configured level the release gets slowed down by half.. Since release is usually very fast you don't notice much until it reaches about 1/10th or so.

I should probably change that behavior, now it's hardly useful. (Also need to change soft knee, it's FAR too soft now).

But I mainly posted this version because there are some bug fixes and code improvements (only visible for me) in it and I want to release a new version with a few new presets (including the one from Phantom). The "New Singleband" will not be included in that.

Are the options / flags "the same" (other than debug vs. retail build)?
Most are (of course some *have* to be different). Normally it's the opposite (debug crashes, release doesn't). Anyway, it's fixed now.

@Hans:

Some queries about the New Single Band:

Which means in the Attack "time to drop 86"?
Where indicated the action of the Gate?
When control is deactivated Soft Knee, works like a hard knee and is not taken into account the control Bad Knee?
It would be nice, if possible, the compression curve plotted as a function of the variation of the knee (as in the phase rotator).
Ratio control, lets not changed with the arrows or the mouse wheel.
Above Clip control, 0 dB below that value is considered. I think in that control values are not linear nor consistent with the 0 dB system.
You could add a Hold control to avoid distortions in very low sustained.
Another item that could set a control Peak / RMS, for the calculation of the envelope.

Well I think I'm done for now ...

I`m a kind of understand this one , But Bojcha said that this is a compressor . I cannot agree only one band ( single band ) to call it "a compressor" But this is only my opinion . So may be this new one will be the best to stay . Old one will stay too ?
And for me .... Gating is like holding option involved to the Up and down speeds .

In the previous GUI, this was called "SingleBand Compressor" I think Hans has simplified it for long question. ;)

Yeah, symbolic exporting for debuggers has to be there, obviously.

Do you mind telling me the exact options you use when building the release (aka "retail") version? I want to look at what the options do in version 10.1. I was reading some stuff earlier today about some floating point options (-fp, I think), as well as flush denormals to zero. I *think* you said you have the denormal flush enabled in an earlier conversation we had about this. Anyway, I'm just wanting to see if anything conflicts or if something can be tried for non-Intel, or even if something can be tried to help the performance degradation you saw moving up to the latest compiler. You can send the options to me in PM if you don't want to post them here.

@ everyone asking about the new singleband:

I think Hans didn't mean to have the GUI interface for that available to us at this point, as he has said it's not working very well. I was going to try to test it, but since he said that it's not working properly, it's not worth the time to me to test it for now.

So, my suggestion is to just pretend that the new singleband stuff is not there, and not worry about how it works or doesn't work right now...

It should be safe.... If performance didn't degrade that is.

No changes again for me, but I'm not doing actual broadcasting...

Finding this stupid overshoot may cause me to broadcast a loud scream though...
