@2sense:

ASIO -> ASIO: OK
ASIO -> Trace 8: Not tested

Pipeline -> ASIO: Empties in 7.24-015, but ok in 7.23
Pipeline -> Trace 8: OK

Trace 8 -> ASIO: Not tested
Trace 8 -> Trace 8: Error on input in 7.24-015 AND in 7.23
Yes, this looks right.

I think I might be opening either the pipeline or the ASIO connection at the wrong sample rate in the Pipeline -> ASIO case. Will check that tomorrow.
In this regard, I have now also tested:

ASIO -> Pipeline: Input buffer looks very dodgy (moving filling and emptying green buffer) - seems to be passing audio though ST to pipeline though.

For that last case, Trace 8 -> Trace 8, are you using Windows Vista? If not, what are you using?
No, all tests done on Win 7 32 bit.

Behavior confirmed here! Now that I see the same thing I can finally start fixing it :)

Edit (2 minutes later): FIXED!

I had written some code to make sure that the ASIO input and output are synchronized, basically I blocked all ASIO output until I received some input. But... If you didn't use ASIO for input that never happened :)

Great news! Only took me about 2 days to explain the problem and 2 minutes for you to fix it! :D

Standalone and asio still working fine.. actually better. Somehow like i have less cpu usage. Buffer also recovers fine i think even better in this beta.

Ok, here's my latest test on 016 (SA):

ASIO -> ASIO: looks OK (buffers look good but haven't passed audio to check -am in a rush!)
ASIO -> Trace 8: Not tested

Pipeline -> ASIO: Working OK now but inconsistent fill of buffer displayed. (Sometime less full / more full / doesn't register depending on changes made eg. adjust buffer slightly, change ASIO override on and off)
Pipeline -> Trace 8: Working OK but inconsistent fill of buffer displayed. (As above)

Trace 8 -> ASIO: Not tested
Trace 8 -> Trace 8: Still has error on input. Weird tones! Output buffer empties quickly and causes audio breakup.

Winamp closes now. As far as I can tell, things still sound OK, but I'm one of the "Classic Multiband Holdouts", so I don't know about the newer features...

Ok, I'm still busy with the Jack support for Linux (when that's ready I'll make a new thread about BETA version 7.24 without mentioning Linux etc, I hope that will be Monday).

Anyway, I was reminded by someone at radiodiscussions.com dat I still hadn't added asymmetrical clipping/limiting for AM. So I just added it.

I think I also found the cause of the sporadic red output bars - that should be gone now.

BETA724-018:

Winamp: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 24-018.exe

I am sure the AM users will be pleased about this. I am a little confused by the AM transmitter section though.
Is the asymmetrical audio meant to be on the FM output or the normal output?

B.T.W. There's a small typo in the "Asymmetry Sttength" slider...
