Yes, i found that it workes! Made big steps today. :D

Only thing is the tally's | With any professional RDS sytem (Airomate included) you can use a remote control port (LPT port in Aeromate) to load other PS pages and remotely enable TA flag (Traffic Anouncement) eg on opening TA anouncers mike on console.

Now i can concentrate on the processing parameters, and waiting for the world to end so i can buy the big version at a nice price. ;)

It`s working perfectly ...
Now playing is working like a charm with the AMIP plugin for foobar and winamp .. so RDS in the ST is almost perfect !
And yeah txt file is the one that reads ST RDS .. as i say works and update titles perfect .

Note: RDS special characters conversion could contain errors, if you find any please let me know.
A first quick test: Both typing in manually and reading from a Latin-1 encoded file, everything looks OK in the GUI.
But (there's always a but, isn't it ;) ) ö displays as õ and Ö as Ô on my receivers.

I'll do some more test and go through the entire charset.
I've done some more extensive testing and this is what I see in the displays of my receivers:
µ shown as ¡ (upside down exclamation mark)
¡ shown as ɑ (alpha)
‰ (per mille sign) shown as ù
Š shown as Ñ
š shown as ñ
Ž shown as ¡
ž shown as ı - Small Latin Letter Dotless I (RDS 0x9E) in one receiver, substituted for a space in another.
Œ shown as Ç
Ý shown as Ž
ý shown as ž

The GUI doesn't reflect the file contents very well:

The above are actually OK.

And another thing, if I have had ClockTime selected and then unselect it, the time display stays on screen.
The time display doesn't update, the time displayed is when I unselected ClockTime.

But with ST you have remote control to the whole program :) You can change all the settings , not only PS TA on/off and so on and so on.... see...

Hm, are there even still pc's available that have an LPT port??

There are some ways to set and reset the TA:
- Via the web interface
- If you can write something like this (check the .sts file for exact syntax):
[FM Transmitter]
RDS TA=1
to a file and configure that in the parameter scheduler; this file is read about once every half second and parameters are updated accordingly.

But... None of these characters except µ exists in Latin-1!
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8859-1

Which makes me wonder which encoding you used exactly - especially since many other characters DID get displayed correctly. Maybe Windows-1252 (CP1252) (see Wiki pagina, further down)?

Those other characters that were not shown correctly in the GUI - are they correctly displayed on the receiver?

Edit: Oddly, they seem ok in the GUI if I type them into Stereo Tool directly. Which makes me wonder even more about the encoding that's in your .txt file...

Yes, nomenclature confusion going on.
Windows-1252 it is. I note that some applications, e.g. Notepad, call it "ANSI", which it isn't either.

@ragnar.jensen: I'll add the missing 32 characters tonight then. But I still don't understand what went wrong with some of the characters that you mentioned.
