Small update: Now the noise gate values can be configured for each band separately (by request from Bojcha). Winamp version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... namic2.dll [link fixed] Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/radio_tool_SA.exe |

Update: CPU usage has been reduced. The processing is slightly different, I've added a "TWO STEPS" check box, if you enable it you get the old processing (which uses more CPU processing power and has a larger latency). I'll try to reduce the latency later. For the tracks I have tested so far I didn't notice any difference. If you set "Square bass" to 0 there should indeed be almost no difference, if you set it above 0 there might be a difference - but like I said I didn't notice anything. Winamp version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... ic_cpu.dll Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/radio_tool_SA.exe I don't know yet if I should keep the "TWO STEP" check box, for VERY loud bass sounds (equalizer set to *2.5 or higher) the difference is getting bigger, and using 2 steps MIGHT reduce the distortion a bit. |

i see "ON" check box.. i worgot to ask to add that check box, mean "On" this new bass boosting and "off" default v4.10. nice one edit: oops, sometimes i get strange surround sound when i play with this two check box (standalone). |

Yes, I'll make that clearer when I'm finishing things up. You can turn if off if you have little bass content or use low Loudness values, and want to lower the CPU load or latency.i worgot to ask to add that check box, mean "On" this new bass boosting and "off" default v4.10. Quote: edit:
Is that when you turn it on and off, and then the sounds becomes (and stays) garbled? Hm, that makes sense - I had the same problem with the Final Limiter and the Loudness filter in the past... I'll look into it, should be easy to solve.

Yes, when i turn On and OFFI am listening Normal output .. checking mpx output.... yes .. same is with mpx out. And this more occure when "On" is checked and "two steps" on/off maybe problem is on both. btw. Now i see how this filter is good. For me i don't need EQ to be ON .. just this filter at this default values. Great job. |

The problem should be on both, the code is identical (basically "2 steps" means doing the same thing twice). But I've already solved this elsewhere, so it shouldn't be a problem to solve it here as well. I'll do that tomorrow. |

Updates: - Reorganized the new sliders - Values are saved now when Stereo Tool is closed - Latency slightly reduced (should have no effect on the sound quality) - "Strange surround sound" should be gone now. - If "Improved distortion protection" is enabled, "Allow louder lows" is slightly increased (+500 at Loudness 1.00 upto +1250 at Loudness 4.00). Note: This is NOT displayed, the '0' position is moved. To get the same sound as before, set it to -500 to -1250. Winamp version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... saving.dll Stand alone version: http://www.stereotool.com/download/radio_tool_SA.exe The increased "Allow louder lows" slider SHOULD not cause any extra distortion (it should be low enough to avoid distortion), but the amount of bass is higher. |

All OK! .. except "strange surround sound".. it's still there when i turn off and on "Improved distortion protection" Strange thing is that this occures on my home PC with OnBoard soundcard, on transmitter pc with juli@ this works normaly.. i turned it on and off 20 times and this not happens. |
