New BETA uploaded;

- AGC window is now as in previous picture
- I added a new checkbox: "Smart volume drop after silence". Basically, if this is enabled and "Enable smoothing" is enabled, the maximum volume is lowered slightly when no loud sounds are detected for a longer period of time. Result: Start of a new track / start of sudden loud sounds, which was a bit too loud until now, is a bit softer.

Note: I don't understand why that checkbox works. Actually, if I look at the code it shouldn't - but it seems to work very well for anything I've fed it so far. If you hear anything strange (way too soft sounds etc.), please let me know.

(Ow, I know the gating indicator is located at the wrong place - will fix that later. Also saving the setting of the new checkbox will be added later)

Hans Decided to write on a forum. :P Unfortunately the last version repeats on a sound 4.22. I think that in high-frequencies more sibilants are needed but not sss And control of stripe is not very much effective again. I am arranged by sounding Orban 8500 Igor Ua

Hello Igor,

I think some things got lost in the translation...:

If I understand you correctly, version 5.00 sounds better than 4.22, but the latest BETA's sound worse than 5.00 / similar to 4.22? Or do you mean that there's something in version 4.22 that's also present in 5.00?

in high-frequencies more sibilants are needed but not sss
Isn't that the same???

And control of stripe is not very much effective again
What is 'control of stripe'?

Note: This might be important: Because the AGC behaves differently from before, you might need to change the 'target volume' setting to get a similar sound to before. Also, make sure that you really have the latest version - there was an in-between BETA where the multiband compressor sounded really bad.

Hi Hans,
Can you make agc-gater faster and can you make same agc-gater to stop multiband too?

"control of stripe" - Something with "Railway" D:
