Hi Hans,
As I wrote it already in "Bug reports", it looks like that the VST-Version works not correctly.
The last running version for me was BETA632 with the old gui.
I try it in dBpoweramp and WaveLab 7. In both programs there is no audio processing made during the file conversion or rendering.
The only thing working is in WaveLab when you play a track directly from the editor. In this case you can adjust parameters in stereotool and you hear the changes, but after that if you would like to save it via the render function to a new file, this file will not have the audio processing listen before.

AGC -> Bands

If you click on the number of bands, you only have a choice of 1 or 2 bands. You have to slide the bands up to 3.

Not sure if that is intended or not.
Works fine here. Stupid question but: You do click on the right side of the slider when it's set to 2 to get to 3 right?

Actually, 360 is pretty good. It is a lot better than the previous Norton AV versions, specifically with memory footprint. It also has a high detection rate percentage.

Coincidentally, the "AV guru" from my area, John McAfee, is currently a "person of interest" in a Belize murder investigation... Current news is he was found in Guatemala and is seeking asylum.
Yeah that was in the news here as well  Weird story!

I guess then that something is crashing. Will add it to the todo list, and try to reproduce it (once I can reproduce it it's probably fixed within minutes).

The list of things to be fixed keeps growing... I was down to 1 this evening for a moment :)

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-057.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-057.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 33-057.dll
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-057.exe

For web interface, you can still use Bojcha's skin:
http://85.25.73.243/stereotool_skin_b2/

Done:
- Red bar doesn't get back to green (Bojcha)
- Built-in presets: Loudness does not work
- Fix MB clipper sliders to 0 error. Also, in old version DISABLED (+20) was saved as -1! Which is now converted to 0... :(
- Reset (right click) of wave panel crashes
- Add warning when someone enables FM sync.
- Make red volume skinnable

TODO:
- FM buffer display doesn't disappear in stand alone mode when FM & FM output are disabled.
- Add transparency (#FF00FF)
- Improve web interface look
- Check STS file saving
- VST version produces silence when processing a file - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4334&start=661
- Bold font in window/heading titles http://i.imgur.com/T4wXM.png

Less urgent for usability:
- Design (several people are working on something)

For later:
- Add 'purpose based' view on settings (for example all settings that affect bass combined).
- Multi-language support
- Add basic/advanced modes
- Add '-6' '-12' etc. beside output bars where possible.
- Context sensitive Help (help button should be next to the preset buttons)
- Drag (resize window parts) lines, also between to/bottom part (scopes/meters).
- Confirm on close (stand alone version)

Sometimes stupid questions are the best questions. I was actually somewhere in the middle, so it was toggling between 1 and 2. I had thought you implemented onClick / onMouseDown (or whatever event it is) as a toggle no matter where you clicked, not that it was checking the relative position on the button. I'm 50/50 on whether that is good for touch screens or not. It could be better to tap to change the setting as opposed to touch-and-slide.

Maybe, but all other sliders DO work this way. And should. Because in all other sliders clicking should move one unit up or down in the direction where you're clicking.

Just tried a few VST hosts that I have installed here and no problems with any of them. Just to make sure: You have tried this with the latest beta version? Because there were issues before with the VST version - so it makes sense that some older beta's didn't work.

- Redraw when coming from iconified mode in Stand Alone version sometimes fails.
- Rounding slider positions to the number of available digits; avoids weird issues such as being unable to check 'Below 0 dB' for Post Amp when it's set to 0 dB.
- Add web interface security warning window
- Move images to built-in web server!
- Improve web interface look Greatly improved. More may be needed but ok for now. IE looked bad. IE problem with caching - solved now by using POST instead of GET requests, you may need to clear your cache to get rid of the old data to get it to work properly!
- VST version does not process (output=input) when processing a file - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4334&start=661
- Check STS file saving
- Fix calibration window (missing check boxes, lots of them)

Post subject:  Re: New things...

Hi Hans,
I tried the last version BETA_633-058 same issue in vst.
To write "VST version produces silence when processing a file" is wrong; the new file has audio, but this audio sounds like the original file. It looks like stereotool will be bypassed during processing.
To clarify, this will be only when audio will be rendered in a background mode with more than real time. (In WaveLab 2-3x time faster)
If I play the audio file in editor of WaveLab to make adjustment into stereotool, the vst plugin works very fine.
To be sure that I make not a mistake, I added a second vst-plugin (stereoEcho) after stereotool in my processor chain. After rendering only the vst-plugin stereoEcho has processing my audio file.
Last working version was BETA632-020.
