Luke i'll delete you from MSN ![]() Dor current preset i needed to lower AGC from 6.60 to almost 10dB, and Final limiter from 0.65x to ~1.30x |

Hm ok - I must have done something wrong before. Anyway, if you ask me, the new multiband sounds horrible. The sound is "thin", and voices push down a lot of other frequencies (probably because the bands are too wide). So I'm going to restore the original multiband. ![]() |

I would change the AGC window such as we write in the Western world, meaning from left to right. By this I mean the input going in on the left and adjust your way out to the right which passes it on to the next part of the processor, the multiband in this case. A very nice feature would be a level out, or drive, which would 'drive' the multiband. |

That's true too ![]() Damn, haven't had time to read this but that is not good. Hans which kind of filters, order, freq etc do you use? |

Luke,I would change the AGC window such as we write in the Western world, meaning from left to right. By this I mean the input going in on the left and adjust your way out to the right which passes it on to the next part of the processor, the multiband in this case. A very nice feature would be a level out, or drive, which would 'drive' the multiband. To control the output level, use the top left slider: That controls the AGC output level. (Hm, I see now that there's no text there that says what it does ![]() The current layout is based on: - Basic options on the left - Advanced options on the right Which is what I used for most of the windows. Having said that, the current layout doesn't really make a lot of sense - for example the settings for band 2 and 3 are placed ABOVE the selection of the number of bands... So a redesign of this window is definitely necessary. Also, I still need to add a new option: Dynamically reducing the 'remove remaining peaks above' level if the volume has been low for a while. So a new track doesn't start at a too high volume. OR maybe I should lower the output level a bit in that case. Still thinking........ |

I have uploaded a new version where: - Original Multiband is restored - AGC remove remaining peaks further improved (some bass sounds caused some distortion, now that's gone). - AGC works also on lower latencies. (Although I might have to change the 512 sample latency version a bit) Luke: For the AGC window: Is this better? ![]() |

mmm should be better but I am not sure that what you describe is the output is actually the output.- Original Multiband is restored - AGC remove remaining peaks further improved (some bass sounds caused some distortion, now that's gone). - AGC works also on lower latencies. (Although I might have to change the 512 sample latency version a bit) Luke: For the AGC window: Is this better? ![]() To me this is the treshold. Maybe also an input meter on the left and an output meter on the right. |

This picture is development, but the meters should be there in the BETA's... Are they completely missing, or not enabled, or ...???
