Cool image - I want one of those :-)

I found a memory leak in the stand alone version, update is building now. (Will upload it tomorrow morning).

The TODO list is almost empty, I'm still waiting for feedback about the following issues that should be solved now:
- VST: render issue in WaveLab. (Opening multiple Stereo Tool instances). I've tested it here and it seems to work fine, but when I change the settings they don't seem to get saved (probably because I'm not using WaveLab the way I should, I've never used it before so I don't know how it should behave... - they do get reported to WaveLab so saving SHOULD be independent of Stereo Tool.)
- Hangups when playing WAV/lossless files. It turns out that SOMEONE must allow the processing of events. SOMEONE can be the input plugin, Winamp itself, the DSP plugin or the output plugin. Now if there's no DSP plugin in use, Winamp apparently does it. The MP3 plugin also does it, so if you're playing MP3s there's no problem. Some output plugins also do this. But if you select an input plugin, DSP plugin and output plugin that ALL don't do this, you can get hangups. I've now added this to the Winamp version of Stereo Tool... Before I had issues when playing .WAV files and saving them to disk, now I don't, so I expect that all other combinations of input/output plugins that caused problems should now also be solved.

Except for this, I'm waiting for more info about the sound card selection issue that Boris reported. (Boris, could you check the latest version when I upload it tomorrow morning? I don't think the memory leak has anything to do with it, but with memory issues you can never be really sure.)

arrgghh, found another wrong settings in clubber preset... don't know how that happen...

7th slider in multiband's "soft limit" should be at 5.20

btw, Winamp dsp - Sometimes when i load preset from menu (clubber).. "reduced cpu usage" is On (should be off), "hard limit" is off.. (should be on).. Loudness is at 1.20x (should be at 1.80x) .. etc. ..

edit: Same happens with standalone.. and with some other presets. Not loaded well !
?

Bojcha,

There are 2 versions of the preset: One for normal listening under "Generic presets" called "Bojcha's Clubber (soft)", and the one as you made it under "Webradio".

The reason for this is that someone who is just listening to music usually isn't interested in the loudest possible sound, but _is_ interested in a low CPU usage.

If you load the one under "Webradio", you shouldn't get what you're describing.
If you load the one under "Generic", you should (!).

on both happens exaclty same ..
sometimes i loads good and most time not.

Stereotool > reset > load preset >
If i load any FM preset .. and then any Generic .. then it's loaded good. or,

Stereotool > reset > load preset >
If i load clubber preset from "generic" not loaded good, then load preset from WebRadio, then It's loaded good.

I have to admit that I do not understand this exactly.

Now I'm confused as well...

Are you loading the presets from disk, or selecting them in the menu?

What I see here:
- Reset
- Select an FM preset
- Select Generic -> Bojcha's Clubber (soft) --> Loudness 1.2, Low CPU usage (as expected)

- Reset
- Select Generic -> Bojcha's Clubber (soft) --> Loudness 1.2, Low CPU usage (as expected)

- Reset
- Select Web Radio -> Bojcha's Clubber --> Loudness 1.8, no low CPU usage (as expected)

- Reset
- Select Generic -> Bojcha's Clubber (soft) --> Loudness 1.2, Low CPU usage (as expected)
- Select Web Radio -> Bojcha's Clubber --> Loudness 1.8, no low CPU usage (as expected)

Am I missing something?

Ok, almost finished now.

I'm still waiting for confirmation that the following issues are solved:
- Hangups when playing WAV/lossless files (it's definitely improved on my side, but there may be combinations that I've missed)
- VST: render issue in WaveLab. (Seems fine here)
- Disable dithering when not needed (Seems fine here) ■ FIXED

Still waiting for more info about the following:
- Boris' problem with not displaying sound cards
Boris, are you still having this problem with the latest BETA2? If so, can you run the executable with extra logging that I posted in this thread a few days ago?
So far I've tested it on 4 different PC's, and I haven't encountered this issue yet.
■ FIXED

Remaining TODO's:
- Fix command line version ■ FIXED
- Add RMS dB value in AGC ■ FIXED
- Check that SSE version works on Pentium 3
- Display warning when lower latency is selected

I've just posted a new update with the following changes:
- Tray icon looks a bit better :-)
- Waveform display is empty and changes color in Bypass mode, and text displayed
- Bojcha's Clubbing presets bar 7 changed.

i forgot to tell...
i tried to play lossless files. I make all possible audio files based on flac (Free Lossless Audio Codec) and m4a (Apple Lossless). Tried with winamp's DS output and wave out output.
No problems now and no problems erlier. I asked earlier to someone upload some lossles file so i can try to play it.
