I tried to turn bass protection off on 47 and i notice, less sub bass.. nothing more.
Hm... Did you set 'Allow louder lows' to +10000? (If not, could you try?) I'm curious if that difference is still there with those settings. (And if the sound is better - you should at least get much more deep bass if you set it to +10000)
can i try it to Beta50?? cause i unistall 47 :(
Deep Bass Boost needed...i think
BETA50 is fine! Deep Bass Boost needed - ok, clear. And what about 'Very deep bass distortion protection'?

I will check it on Weekend, but now deep bass and bass distortion is off and Allow loouder low +10000. But, i have noticed an instand sound mute when bass or deep bass is present maybe, on certain radios... I am not sure what makes this happen.. but i am looking on it...
About Deep Bass, i think is needed only this slider, not the others... Bojcha will have to check it better or someone else.

I think I'm hearing the same when disabling 'improved loudness protection and very deep bass boost'. The sound becomes thin when low bass kicks in. Is this what you hear too?

No.... i did nt hear this. In certain tracks, i have instant mute even without "improved loudness" and "very Deep..." This two are OFF and i still have instant mute, on a certain radio.. not all of them.
Denon TU-425RD This effect i have it a long time and i am trying to see what happens... but nothing found yet.. :(

Ah ok, that's completely different.

Hans, I'm still using the 'improved loudness protection and very deep bass boost' setting. Don't know what the artifacts do, but probably my headphone likes them.

Chris:
Instant mute = radio seems to switch off for a moment - entire bass is gone? Or do you get really bad distortion?

- Could it be that something (sound card, transmitter, something else) is sending out the bass too loud? Or maybe that the overall volume going into the transmitter is too loud? (In other words: Is it solved if you lower the total output level a bit)

- It might be interesting to hear what happens if you enable the 'Stereo Image' processor, set everything at default levels (so it does nothing), and then set a phase shift of 180 degrees.

Well, for the first of the two filters I've managed to get rid of the artifacts in BETA50 - that's the filter that contains Very Deep Bass Boost.

I'll have to try if I can do the same for the 2nd - if that also does something helpful to the sound (?)

Its an instand mute... not disortion or very loud volume... just an instand pause for less than second.
I think its a unique low frequency that causes... but i have nt found yet..
My Stereo image is on without Phase shift.
Anyway... its not a big deal... but its strange...!

Ok, please try the stereo image WITH phase shift - I want to know if that solves the problem!

And it is a big deal... At least if it also happens on other receivers. Are you sure that you're not broadcasting too loud? Then the receiver could detect 'disturbance' and switch off for a moment to avoid loud cracking sounds that can be caused by a station on a neighboring frequency.
