My next option is to change the Exciter to RVR.

Did you check your connections and especially the groundings?
It's strange that it happens again on a different exciter.

New soundcard arrived, sounds very good. Actually i try to find the best dynamic boost settings, this seems to be not bad:

Which settings you guys playing around? Show your ideas please. :D

Furthermore, Hans did you changed something in ST soundprocessing? I noticed some very short breaks during music play, and maybe a higher delay. First i thought this was my old onboard sound, but same effects appear with the new soundcard. What could that be?

ONE simple request:

Limiting Strictnes: expand to 2000% (?)

You mean 200% I suppose? But why? (I don't think it's even possible, and if it is it will lead to VERY strange effects).

@Vortan: You're mainly boosting the mid frequencies there... Might be good depending on the type of music that you're playing - but I found the opposite settings to sound good for what I tested (that is, leave top sliders at default levels, lower bottom sliders 3,4,5,6 to limit the effect on voices.)

@eldoradofm, bojcha: About Bojcha's test1 file: Not sure what I think of it. It seems to sound somewhat artificial, but the dynamics are clearly better. For the voice that eldoradofm comments upon: Lowering the mid frequencies (what I just said to Vortan) should help there.

Hm, that's basically 'infinite' - or turn this filter off completely. What's the effect that you are getting?

I am getting back punch/fullness which is distroyed by high amount of Loudness. This goes with "Dirty Bass" to 400%, so this Strictnes at 2000% removes Distortion from Dirty Bass.
I have some small dostortions mostly on Highs caused by Lows.. trying to fix.

Edit:
hmm.. maybe moving pre-emphasis will fix this highs distortion. will wait.

Edit2: if possible Dirty Bass expand to 1000%
