I've watched the movie. So now my question: where does stereo tool synchronize with? In those movies they talk about synchronization with GPS timings. And also using AES/EBU uncompressed for audio. |

That movie means nothing. It's simple - if you want to use all synced, you must use ALL their equipment. So you cannot use other exciter or other STL .. all must be theirs. And has nothing with Hans's Sync. Meaning.. to fully make it as should.. Hans need to make STL inside ST, UDP multicast .. etc..etc.. and to use that data later for sync. |

@Bojcha: True, that would be best. The current solution works (as far as I've seen in my tests it works much better than I expected), but it's not the neatest, best solution. But. It works. And you don't need any special equipment or software. Although I can imagine that people might not be too happy using Winamp at a transmitter site. (Of course any other program that can receive streams and load VST or DSP plugins would be good too). On the other hand, I've never seen Winamp crash. So it might work fine. It could be a good idea to add streaming support to Stereo Tool, but that requires a lot of work, bug solving, testing, feedback from different setups etc. So for now I'm relying on Winamp to outperform anything I could make in a reasonable amount of time. And it already supports most streaming formats, so this synchronization should work regardless of whether you use MP3, AAC, Ogg/Vorbis, wav, flac, ... |

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-050.exe Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-050.exe VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 33-050.dll Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-050.exe For web interface, you can still use Bojcha's skin: http://85.25.73.243/stereotool_skin_b2/ I'm not going to improve the looks of the web interface until there's a final design for the whole gui, then I'll try to make both look the same. Done: - Check report that audio in latest beta is less good than version 6.32. -> Checked, but doesn't seem to be true. Biggest difference is different bass clipping which MAY cause some extra distortion but also gives a warmer more natural sound. If it does cause more IMD, solution would be to slightly lower dynamic bass clipping level. - I also just found a bug somewhere (turned FM sound card output on and off a few times in the debug version and got an assert - would not be noticeable in the release version - but might still cause issues). - Fixed a bunch of crashes in the GUI (no idea why they didn't show up earlier...) - Add FM synchronization offset handling (needed because when the CPU load on different pc's is different the synchronization is not perfect). Best solution: Check diff with previous offset and just insert 0's or remove samples. - Added Bessel null frequencies - Added smooth square wave test tone mode - Web interface was turned ON by default, now off. TODO: - Fix web interface. - Works. Looks ugly but usable for now. Waiting for final GUI design first. - Hide settings such as sound cards in plugin versions - Move some settings to more logical positions. - Add warning when someone enabled FM sync. Less urgent for usability: - Design (several people are working on something) For later: - Add 'purpose based' view on settings (for example all settings that affect bass combined). - Multi-language support - Add basic/advanced modes - Add '-6' '-12' etc. beside output bars where possible. - Context sensitive Help (help button should be next to the preset buttons) - Drag (resize window parts) lines, also between to/bottom part (scopes/meters). - Confirm on close (stand alone version) |

hvz, a little suggestion. Could you please give an option in the installer to disable Start Menu shortcut creation? That is useful for people who wants to keep their Start Menu minimal. |

Is there a problem with the drawing of the MPX peak and power graphs in the BS412 section? Disabling and re-enabling the feature seems to redraw the sections which aren't visable when permanently enabled? |

Return of the web interface: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-051.exe It still looks horrible (unbelievable that I once thought it looked good... Only a few months ago) but at least it works. Separation in sections is coming (bar on the left). |

Hello, first sorry for my English. I write because i need good help. My idea is to install three stations in several cities (at a distance of approximately 20 km of each other), using a single frequency. I have many Doubts about how to configure this. Such as I link the three transmitters? I can do it for streaming, or analog trunks or if I need to send the signal mpx? That is an additional problem using DTMF tones (using RadioBOSS) I will replace commercials in each city. That I would not mind at the time of advertising can produce some interference to any listener who is in the middle of two stations. Thank you
