Beta 31D something has changed in this version. Here i get clicks with 5000 ms buffer and it doesn't matter if i press restart or not. With stereotool at realtime. Multicore selected or not doesn't matter here. Both time clicks.

@bojcha, what for driver version do you use for your juli@ card en what for operating system do you use? Do you have on-board graphics or separated graphics card?

huh..
I am now see same as Eldorado.
At home where I have c2d E8400 and testsing with MAYA44USB, all works fine.
But now i am at AMD X2 5600+ wih Juli@. Things are totally different.

I have pops and clicks! :(
I see now what's the thing with restart button. When i hit it and buuffer size is not full it clicks. When it's full it clicks but much less.
Last beta31E i can't even start! Processing is working but window is not visible, not movable .. etc..
I can start beta31 and it works. but clicks/pos are there.

.. testing more..

- MultiCore audio OK now (asio), but, now i have minimal buffer size 3.1ms, was 2.0-2.1ms
Is that only for multicore? Or also if you disable that?

Hm, odd. BETA31D and BETA31E are actually equal, except for the fix for not-full buffers. And the only thing that I changed was updating the text on the window at a different moment (although to do that I also had to reload the ASIO driver, maybe that's causing issues).

Edit: Yes, it probably does. I'm loading the ASIO driver to get its buffer size BEFORE I perform the normal load/open, but I never unload it... So that probably explains it (it's the only difference between BETA31D and E).

So if BETA31E doesn't work, BETA31D is the closest thing (if the buffers stay full, it's ok).

I can start beta31D, but not beta31E. IF i start beta31E and kill task it locks Juli@'s asio .. so i need to restart windows.

Must check that i forgot was i use 64 or 48 samples.

@Eldorado WinXP sp3 Juli@ driver v1.23
btw, ot this PC (AMD X2 5600+ @ 3Ghz) i have clicks at 5000ms too. beta31D, beta31A, beta31.
WHen it clicks i can see clippes in multiband reaction, so it's on input (?) (buffer not full)

Bojcha, could you try the following? See this post from eldoradofm. NOTE: According to EldoradoFM, this does NOT work anymore for versions BETA031C-E, so only for A and B!

Could you try this:
- Set Priority to Normal in Stereo Tool. This should lead to NO clicking at buffer size 5000.
- Then in Task Manager, stepwise increase the priority. I'd like to know at which setting clicking starts. If I know that I can probably add an extra mode in Stereo Tool.
Tested again but this time with version 31. With this version i also get clicks with buffer of 5000ms and stereotool to normal priority. When increasing the priority with task manager the clicks are gone with realtime.
Edit: Same result with version 31B
Edit: Same with version 31A

So the previous measurement was probably not done good enough or i did something different there. It takes some time (couple of second) before the click appears and maybe i haven't noticed it before.

Testing with version 31C
There's something wrong, i see the buffer filling and then it's empty and i get a click every 5 seconds.

I don't know what's wrong in accessing this site about this time. packets drops, internal server error....
Anyways to the point, Hans, how many ASIO threads are actually created during normal operation and what priorities are set to these threads. I've been noticing that ASIO threads are getting dumped every few seconds if priority is set to realtime for ST. ST continues operating without hiccups. I checked with SysInternals' Process Explorer. I see 2 asio threads created, surprisingly the two have different thread priorities.
When ST is set to idle/low, 1 ASIO thread is at 4/4(Base/Dynamic) whereas the other one is at (15/24). When set to realtime, the first one is at now at 24/24. The second one begins with 31/31 and falls back to 31/24 after a few seconds and that's when drops and clicks begins to happen. ASIO threads are dumped and new one created every few(5-6) seconds.

I get confused and don’t know if i got understand correctly. I am going to test all the previous versions again. This time with the program Prime95 for the CPU loading to do better measurements.
