i have to ask this but what are you trying to do with stereo tool ? as the one i use sounds fine..unless there is something i am missing. in fact it sounds very good but that's the original 4.22 not the beta version . but if there is a problem i know you will fix it. ( stereo tool is still no.1 dsp) |

Quote: Quote: What should I see? (With the broken Juli@ driver it's a bit hard to send sounds to the stand alone version, so if I know what I should see I can check if it also occurs in Winamp).
I hope you have VAC.Meters are wild on these tones ~6,5khz and up. |

New BETA2 is available now, if I didn't miss anything it should work properly now. |

Hi DUB<^>STEP,in fact it sounds very good but that's the original 4.22 not the beta version . but if there is a problem i know you will fix it. ( stereo tool is still no.1 dsp) The new version will have a greatly reduced latency (which makes it better usable) combined with a much lower CPU load. Which - among others - allowed me to add a few new filters that improve the sound quality. So this new version - if it's working properly again - should sound better, with less than half of the CPU load and about 1/10th of the latency. |

(standalone) Avoid distortion in Final Limiter not working ... Reduced cpu usage not working too when loudness is off.... Sometimes this happens .. ![]() switch to 2048 and back to 4096 .. all ok again... .... |

*Hitting self to head* I think I solved only half of the problem... Will check tonight. |

Mapleleaf: I'll post the URLs below when the next version is ready. You can probably find the link where honda said, but it might crash - next version _should_ be fixed. (If I'm not missing any other bugs). Coming up tonight: - More memory issues fixed, I hope I have fixed them all now - Multiband: Issue with moving output bars fixed. This also affected the sound, but not as much as I had feared. - AGC: 2nd band locked to first. The 2nd band never drops below the first anymore, so it won't drop if for example a voice kicks in. If you set the relative volume of the second band very low, it behaves similar to a singleband AGC (regardless of that setting, the highs are never dropped below the lows anymore). But if you set it a bit higher it still lowers loud bass sounds such as in that Beyonce song, without having any effect if no loud bass sounds are there. - AGC: Improved channel separation at low latency settings. Note: Reason for the memory issues is that I have reduced the memory usage quite a lot (usage is more than 20 MB lower than in older versions now). But at some places I had reduced it too much. Note to Bojcha: For the 'vibrating voice' problem: It helps a lot if you set "Deform bass peaks to protect highs" further to the right. (You'll loose some very low bass though - but you can use "Deep Bass Boost" (in Loudness) or the new Bass Boost filter to get some extra). I'm testing it with this "video phone" number at places with that insanely loud bass. Building the new version now. |
