Cause of crash: Left menu bar is drawn outside the window size (vertically). Draw -> DrawPanel -> includeLeftSelection -> includeLeftMenuButtonRecursive -> includeLeftMenuButton -> bitmap_resize_innter -> set_pixel -> assert. |

No Hans , When minimize or/and set update speed to 0 the difference is that these jumps are a bit lower , not noticeable. Did you have these jumps on your Intel CPU ? I ask because of different CPU from yours. About 20 % , some times goes to 25 % jumps ? |

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-045.exe Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-045.exe VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 33-045.dll Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-045.exe Done: - Bass shape: Whistle sound mostly gone TODO: - Fix GUI crash in drawing left bar during screen resizes - Mouse unresponsive reported (waiting if it can still be reproduced) - Move some settings to more logical positions. - Hide settings such as sound cards in plugin versions Less urgent for usability: - Design (several people are working on something) For later: - Add 'purpose based' view on settings (for example all settings that affect bass combined). - Multi-language support - Add basic/advanced modes - Add '-6' '-12' etc. beside output bars where possible. - Context sensitive Help (help button should be next to the preset buttons) - Drag (resize window parts) lines, also between to/bottom part (scopes/meters). - Confirm on close (stand alone version) |

Quote: No Hans ,
20% average with jumps to 25%? That's not so bad? When minimize or/and set update speed to 0 the difference is that these jumps are a bit lower , not noticeable. Did you have these jumps on your Intel CPU ? I ask because of different CPU from yours. About 20 % , some times goes to 25 % jumps ? On my pc the usage is 7-10%, average 9%, that's with the GUI open. For version 6.32 that's 7-9%, average 8%. So I don't see jumps. In your case, what's the difference between 6.32 and the latest beta, with the GUI down? Edit: Just tried on another system (also Intel) and there I see numbers between 33 and 37%, doesn't seem to matter if the gui is up or down. |

No i mean that jumps are in these lines. From 25-26 to 54-56 % . The difference is about 20 to 25% in jumps.. 6.32: see numbers from 23-24 to 48-49% CPU latest betas: are from 26 to 55 % and i see that when peak of usage is appear then every time CPU goes to minimum of the usage..... or may be it`s the opposite ( when minimum appear then CPU goes to max CPu usage) i don`t know which one is . Difference between versions is not that much but these jumps are incredible high . I think that version 6.21 was the last version that have NO jumps that i mention here. if you don`t understand what i mean , i can post a video to show you . May be it`s loudness function of the program because if i disable it ( make it x1.00), the CPU goes around flat usage. 18-20% in latest beta. |

No it's clear. I *think* it's not problematic but I'm not sure - can you lower the CPU speed on your system to see if you get hiccups? What happens is that Stereo Tool performs some processing every 2048 samples (at the highest latency setting) = every 0.05 seconds. As far as I know, TaskManager polls every 16 ms what is happening on the system - those are also the moments when a task switch can occur on the system. Due to this, in the past I have seen situations where Task Manager reported a CPU usage of 0 while it was actually around 30%. Another thing you could test: Run some other CPU intensive programs and check if the spikes disappear. In the situation I described above (CPU load reported of 0% while it was around 30), running another program simultaneously immediately caused Task Manager to show the correct usage for both programs. |

Found it .. loudness function : when disabled CPU is 18-20 % . think that perfect flat . i`ve tested already with another program , but ...same thing. But one time i check the usage and it was flat , around 32-36% , but it`s only one time. Every time i start the program i check this and...... jumps are appear in 99% of the cases. Ok then is there a program .. like task manager , where we can see the actual usage .. real usage , in other words an accurate program ? |

Are you using the declipper? Loudness and declipper are the only two filters that use multicore processing.... Since version 6.21! If it's that, it should be constant again if you disable multicore. |

No - declipper is OFF . But only loudness is on. Yeah i turn off the multicore and guess what ? 33-34 % of usage . perfect flat Why is that ? After turn off and on the multicore the cpu is more flat Edit : after you said that you found a bug in processing , High`s are more clear and sounds perfect ?! |

@ Doggy Try to compare CPU usage with standalone and DSP. ST is doing some multicore, but OS is doing more, depend on OS, it's more or less but always more then ST, except when you cross 50% per core! Then anything can happen - depend on CPU, number of cores and OS. |
