If so, isn't the equalizer usable for this?

i used the eq for that, but jeffry and i listened carefully after that, and found out that there happens more at the bass in an orban box, so we thought about this band, to get more the punchy bass effect :mrgreen:

In my opinion, it is too soon to do that. All of the current presets use the "classic" filters. At this point, there are still bugs that are being defined as "major" or "big" in the new filters.

To put it differently - while I applaud those who are making new presets right now for blazing the trail with the new filters, because they are helping uncover bugs, I'd prefer making a preset when most of the major bugs have been worked out.

I think there is more bigger problem for MB bands.
Using peek or RMS mode with FF makes Bands very hard to adjust to sound good / to keep spectrum.. etc.. but you get almost full "leveling" (read compression) if thresh and ratio is adjusted properly.

However, FB works way better but you lose some "leveling" with softer input from AGC (because of normal nature of feedback. So what's needed is, FB to act like FF - some 'double" releasing to fix that bad side of FB but to not lose linearity!

Currently with FB, to have most constant output with very different audio input, relays directly from AGC, and AGC is not so smart/fast to do that even though i tried several times to optimize 1-band AGC with SC EQ.
I think it's now better to use just one band for AGC with CS especially if I know that crossover between 2nd and 3rd band is super steep. Cutting bass in 2 bands mode makes things better (bass control), but in other hand worse (steep cut at 250Hz).
So maybe AGC just need better crossover between b1 and b2.

Since you want that with LOUD sound.. just to tell you that you are losing that in Advanced Clipper. With Bass boost and EQ and also new MB you can "design" any bass you want (except non-linear one) but it will get lost in clipper. Especially punch part. Turn off Distortion protection and you'll see.

Huh? Are you sure? That's actually impossible... Because the volume analysis is done once, not twice - so it uses the same audio for both the normal and the jump analysis.

Why would be i want that to pick 20Hz bass - and because of 2 or 3 bands to interfere with bass up to 250Hz.

Woo! I just saw something really cool and you guys just HAVE to see this. I had heard about it (this lab is less than 20 minutes from my house, it's actually the same lab where they invented the CD) but never actually heard or saw what they made. Electronic music from the 1950s!

Unfortunately I couldn't find the documentary that I just saw on tv online, there he described exactly how they used wax to draw a line on the back side of the tape, then tested (visually) if it was placed at exactly the right spot, and how they would cut the tape sideways to get a smooth transition without popping sounds.

But you say it's not in the side chain? Anyway, I'll change the slope tomorrow (the multiband slopes seem to be a whole lot better, so I'll just see if I can copy that shape).
