Wow!

My pira75 spectrum analyzer shows 7 dbr of sound " power "
( at 75 khz of course! )

most radiostations have 2 or 3 dbr of power only!

stereotool can make 7 for sure !!
You use the DDS transmitter from sigmacom as far as i know, so there shouldn't be any overshoots.
When you look at the Deviation MAX on the Pira analyzer, does it ever get above 75 kHz?
I'd like to know how accurate this pira analyzer is. So if you see overshoots, how much is it?

no overshoots, stuck at 74 khz
and the strange thing with stereotool is that while beeing at 74 khz ....you expect a sound with no dynamics...but stereotool and bbp can make a clipped sound which will sound fully dynamic and punchy !!

only stereotool and bbp can make this dynamic sound phenomeno while stuck at 74 khz !

omnia ( not 9) and orban when are overdriven sound like a pseudo-flat eq preset ..with distortion..

So the pira analyzer is even more accurate then the device that sigmacom uses? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jynddnxgbi0 because there i also see overshoots over 75 kHz.
Hmm.. I see there's also Max at xx kHz in the Frequency Deviation screen, but that's not the one that i meant.
When you look at the screen of the pira, there's deltaF: MAX xx.x kHz
Underneath is AVE xx.x kHz

Could you look at that deltaF: MAX xx.x kHz part and tell me the max value you see?
I expect the AVE to be around 74 kHz then.

max is 74,3 khz as i can catch
average is 73,5 at this time i mesure.

composite clipping ...of course, and 0 % sound loss from processor to exciter

Could you let the pira measure some longer time, let's say an hour and then hit Acquire in the Frequency Deviation tab. Then press Save Data and send me the saved Histogram?

the less rds and stereopilot the...more loud :)

but if you lower more than normal rds and stereopilot then...strange effects happen on some ..listeners :)
so., dont touch these :)

composite clipper is good at 103,9 % ( you wont lose bass frequencies..until that)

The good values for a RDS and pilot is

Pilot 7 Khz
RDS 3 khz

it's a setting to obtain this value mesured with a Pira75

Ok the god value is 103,9 Khz in composite limiter, my test have been done with 100% value to composite clipper
at 103,9 % the sound is clipped correctly ?

JesseG has made a veeeeeeeeeeeery loud " new version " of new york preset for omnia 9 and i ve heard it :) so, he likes loud, he also likes clean.

the difference from JesseG soundings is that i like urban sound colouring.. ( loud and at the same time ....NOT SO AGC AND MULTIBAND OVERDRIVE ...and " sound zooming" as i call ( becuse of exxecive zooming on agc and multiband)
I don't like "zooming" or "urban". I like super open and dynamic and NOT loud presets, like Passive Aggressor. But there are some amazing compromises coming from Omnia.9 too, like "Tokyo" (son of PassAgr), "Orlando" (amazingly open sounding preset from Jim Kuzman with a little tweaks from me), and also my "Big Iron" preset which made Camclone drop his mouth open to the ground. :D

@ New York... I made it because it had to be done. Some people want or even need this sound. It is the sound of everything blasting loud all at once, as huge sound as possible. New York is a great starting point on a loud sound too because you can always just turn/slow things down, and generally be safe, to get a sound that's still loud, but with less hugeness.

I should also note that Camclone (nor almost anyone else) has heard Leif's new MPX clipper, which is simply :o , even compared to his last MPX clipper.

I heard it :-)

And it's indeed better than the previous one. When I have the declipper finished and version 6.20 released I'll try what my own clipper does given the same input (the problem is that I have some filters built into my clipper, which makes comparisons impossible. And I'm more and more getting the impression that those filters may do more harm than good in some cases...)

Leif has done a test with only the clipper and NO protecting filters whatsoever, which is a really good idea if you want to compare clippers.

He sent me the input that goes directly into the clipper, but currently I cannot process it in Stereo Tool without my protective filters without rewriting some code first.
