I know, it doesn't really work properly either.

About the hangup: Apparently it happens (always) in Windows 7, and never in XP...
Edit: In Windows 7, if I attach a debugger it doesn't happen either. Damn :(

Edit: Crash fixed. I forgot to set a variable to 0 on startup......

Yes, I am using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. I am not sure what I did to the dsp 033, but now I can't get it to work at all, so I've gone back to to 032, which has played fine all day long. I like the 034 layout for the standalone, looks good, plays good.

You probably managed to close it in a view which causes it to crash on opening. Problem is solved now so the next beta will work.

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-035.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-035.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 33-035.dll
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-035.exe

Fixed:
- Many settings (among others registration... but also synchronization, sound card settings etc) should not be cleared when you press reset.
- Move buttons to top
- Fixed sound card buffer meter color.
- Hangup on Declipper -> Restoration panel.

PARTIAL:
- Add a warning in the buttons bar if unregistered options are in use, clicking must open register window.
- Add bandpass, FM (via MPX panel!), latency/quality and sound cards to bottom display. Add hover.
- Same for new version alerts. Clicking should open site. Add hover.

TODO:
- Hangup reported on preset loading
- Mouse unresponsive reported
- Mouse shape

Less urgent for usability:
- Design (several people are working on something)

For later:
- Multi-language support
- Add basic/advanced modes
- Add '-6' '-12' etc. beside output bars where possible.
- Context sensitive Help (help button should be next to the preset buttons)
- Drag (resize window parts) lines, also between to/bottom part (scopes/meters).
- Confirm on close (stand alone version)
- Clean up button bar (remove some things and move to Configuration view?)

It looks VERY good!
My wish: I would like to use the VST plugin (LFX-1310) in Stereotool such as effect plug-ins in BBP ASIO. Is this possible to realize?

upgraded from the 032 the 035, the sound was really good at start up, but then I noticed, hey it's mono. So I went to load another preset on this version (Bojcha - Bangkok Dynamic (US, Stereo) [I like this one!] which went right to stereo sound again. But somehow just a dimming of sound so I decided to tweak, went to FM Transmitter and saw Pre-emphasize output was off, so set it to on at 50, then saw the Encode RDS was also off, so I turned that on, guess what, it went back to mono
hmmm, I don't think it should do that, but it sounds really good in mono too

Confirmed - audio is for some reason mono when RDS is enabled. I fixed something in that code a few versions ago, I guess I also broke something.

Shouldn't that be caught by your compiler? If not, I know at least Visual Studio allows an option to build with runtime checks. That is how we found some problems with uninitialized variables.

BTW, I've been absent for about a week because my power supply went dead. It was an Antec True550 that I bought when I built the system back in 2004, so I got 8 years out of it. Now have an Antec True Power "New" 750, so 200 more watts capacity. Additionally it is supposed to be more efficient, so with the same power draw as before and a more efficient power supply, maybe you Europeans can cut this American some slack about my "Carbon footprint"...

Just a little idea: May it be possible to add a visualization for CPU-usage?

And is it right that the "CPU & Latency"-, "Bandpass"- and "FM-Transmitter"-Screens are minimized?

I'm actually not sure if this is the correct behavior or not. Is there *any* reason why you would want to output stereo sound and add an RDS signal to it? I would say, the fact that RDS is present means it's an MPX signal hence it should be mono.
