Hi,

Would it be possible to just click in a number and write a value? Sometimes it's just easier.

Thx

WOW , they are about thousands values
Every value like that ..
Even that the mouse scroll is working now!
click->write->enter
versus slide to near value-> scroll to exact value
three steps versus two steps !
what is more easy?

I don`t know- let`s see what Hans will say
Hans ,
i`ve a question : Why when i give to ST a sine with amplitude 0 db from some generator , the input indicators shows "RED" but it`s 0 db ....

A few answers:
- Input turns red whenever the maximum level is reached - I cannot see if that's an overshoot or not. It's just an indication to help set the input level, if you *know* that your input is correct you can just ignore it.
- Mouse shape: I've added that to the todo list
- Entering numbers directly: How would you want to do that? Right click or something, and then get a pop-up input field? I don't really see the purpose of it now that there are so many ways of scrolling (cursor keys, mouse wheel, slow and fast movement via mouse) - why would you want this?
- I know that copying etc. doesn't work in the RDS and other inputs.... I may implement that later, but not right now.

I've seen it in other plugins (Waves I believe). Also (for photos), Adobe Lightroom admits that interaction, in addition to scrolling, moving a slider, using the arrow keys. You click on the number (normal click), the number gets highlighted in some way, then you input the value, press enter o click in a new object, and that's it. The way I see it, is like editing the sts file directly in the main GUI.

When listening to some newly obtained music on my headphone I noticed some (soft) distortion on tones that have no high frequencies such as pianos on a loud preset. Things seem to improve if I move "Airy highs short" to 0, although there's still something there.

I think I need to disable airy highs when there are almost no highs present to get rid of this effect. It's just a few lines of code so I can add it in no-time.

I'll add it to the todo list.

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-032.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-032.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 33-032.dll
Console: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-032.exe

Fixed (from version 030):
- Fix OVERRIDE_ShowNaturalDynamics loading/saving
- Check crash in command line version (in Enabled refresh function - probably related to loaded parameters - is that even possible?)
- Pull-down scroll bar appears when it's not needed
- After scrolling with scroll bar, mouse hover doesn't work anymore
- Implement mouse wheel and cursor keys for sliders.
- Find 3 memory leaks
- Remember old location in left menu per section. So if you open Processing you go back to Processing -> Stereo -> AZIMUTH for example. Click on Processing again (if it's already open) and you go to the Processing screen. - did it only for 2 top levels but I think this makes more sense.
- Disable Airy Highs if there are very little highs - need to do final test to confirm that it doesn't hurt other sounds
- Fix declipper click issue - greatly reduced
- Changed way to draw to screen - should solve audio hiccups on some older/slower systems.

TODO:
- When moving over multiple sliders etc. they all move
- When changing slider value with cursor keys sound does not change immediately

- Check hangup - not seen anymore, may have been caused by old pull-down menu implementation. - Does indeed not seem to occur anymore.
- Display last loaded preset name, if possible also with whether it has been changed and keeping it on restart
- What to do with FM settings? Move to config?
- Hangup reported on preset loading
- Add bandpass, FM (via MPX panel!), latency/quality and maybe sound cards to bottom display.
- Clean up button bar (remove some things and move to Configuration view?)
- Add a warning in the buttons bar if unregistered options are in use, or change 'Register' button color.
- Same for new version alerts.
I think I can put both between the buttons in the button bar if the screen is wide enough, if not I can put it above the button bar in the section above it isn't too big. Not sure if that's a good idea though, maybe I need to do something else instead (for example combine buttons such as Help and About if the screen isn't wide enough).
- Mouse shape

Less urgent for usability:
- Design (several people are working on something)

For later:
- Multi-language support
- Add basic/advanced modes
- Add '-6' '-12' etc. beside output bars where possible.
- Context sensitive Help (help button should be next to the preset buttons)
- Drag (resize window parts) lines, also between to/bottom part (scopes/meters).
- Confirm on close (stand alone version)

Post subject:  Re: New things...

Only minor bug fixes. And moved FM settings to the Configuration menu - that seems to make more sense. FM Calibration is moved to FM Output sound card.

- Move buttons to top

 Hmm, I installed dsp 033, then decided to try out the Bojcha - Bangkok Dynamic US setting, which btw sounds really great on my system. I clicked in this order...
Configuration > Processing > Declipper > Input > Restoration = Frozen Stereo Tool. I checked 3 times plus rebooted my system, still same defect.
BTW this is the first Beta update to give my system any hickup.

Post subject:  Re: New things...

I see the same crash here, but not in the development version I'm working on... So I hope that I somehow fixed it (?).
