Normally with 4096 samples & ASIO i could set the latency to lets say 48ms, and now i have to set it to 138ms to run ST properly.....
That mean you have more cpu usage.

How about terms like 'steepness lower' and 'steepness upper' to refer to the steepness of the lower and upper edges of the bands?

Maybe I'm totally off the mark here...
You're the second person saying this so it needs to be changed. But lower and upper... I wanted to change it, but then I thought - for me it would make sense that 'lower' is where the signal gets lowered, so the right side. So I find this term confusing as well. Any other ideas? Rising and Falling comes to mind but my logic might differ from other people's logic.
Alternative to STEEPNESS could be SLOPE (XOVER SLOPE)

Alternatives to LEFT/RIGHT could be;

LOWER / UPPER
START / END
< / > (or likely better available font symbols to visually depict left and right).

or auto change the text to reference the adjacent band;

SLOPE FROM B2 / SLOPE TO B3
SLOPE FROM B3 / SLOPE TO B4 etc

FROM B2 / TO B3
FROM B3 / TO B4 etc

Don't know if these are any better - just putting them out there.

EDIT: or SHAPE instead of SLOPE or STEEPNESS

I don't think there's any need for 5 interface modes, maybe 2 or 3 will do.

My internet connection is working again (turned out there was another Windows update waiting, after that was installed everything worked again).

This new version has the following changes:
- PEAK mode Limiters in multiband and singleband improved, now equal in quality to RMS mode
- Hold mouse disabled for everything except sliders (gave really weird effects if you tried it on other widgets)
- Equalizers and side chains now use logarithmic scale. NOTE: THIS MEANS THAT PRESETS MADE WITH THE LAST FEW BETA'S THAT USE THESE WILL NOT LOAD PROPERLY!

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 04-040.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 04-040.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 04-040.dll

Lol! Was caused by the fact that I added an extra menu item - due to that the indexes of the widgets in the display moved - and hence the GUI "thought" that the mouse was on the 'Bands' setting. Should be fixed now.

Bug: After putting the new multiband on and off for 6-10x the number of bands decreases to 1.
So far unable to reproduce this one. Let's see if it still occurs when the code is finished, I'm still changing many things.
Happening here now too. Not in debug mode, oddly. Will check the code later.[/color]

When using the monitor option for the lowest band (bass) there is still "blop blop" effect like when you use bass boost and hit on "difference" . looks like there is no enough Q-factor of the filter .... it`s important for the bass quality to look into it. And i hear it only on the lowest band ...second one does not have it. When i use the bandpass to cut out the all except the bass , this is not present. But when use the boost with"diff" and monitor .. this effect is there ?!?! I don`t understand this one.
Something is indeed wrong here...

BUG REPORT: When I play mono wav files with the winamp DSP version I hear a very loud buzz and severe distortion. I don't know if the same happens for other mono files.

Will check.
