I got a crash when i tried Latency of 4096 in stereotool. It was working for a while but when i changed buffer size it crashed stereotool.
Will do some more tests later today.

i compared beta 26 and 27...
i have 1,7ms (minimal buffer size) for 48kHz/64samples - normal output..

Beta26 have much more clicks pops then 27, when i move windows open browser an other ...
But still sometimes rarely, have,. That's on "high" priority. 'Realtime', same.

Is it possible to be "realtime" for processing and for other just "normal" ?

btw, 4096 mode is not working in b26 and b27.
- What if you increase the buffer size just slightly more? (Add 1.33333 ms to go a step higher, so 3.1 ms or so) Is it gone then?
- Is the Stereo Tool window minimized and screen update speed set to 0?

- Separate processing RealTime/non realtime: Can be done, but it will take more work and I doubt if that's useful.
- Something is indeed wrong at latency 4096, will check it.

Clicks are gone from 10ms and more...

No, Maximized and updatespeed to max. When is minimized... there are still some clicks when i open my FF (sometimes) or moving some window around.

EDIT: Actually i restarted ST and it backs to normal.
Beck to "High" priority ... so, Minimized and update speed to minimum, No Clicks!

Still much more clicks when i maximize the window then when it's minimized. Minimized the lowest buffer size i can set is 1.5 ms

Ah, that makes sense - I changed the code that outputs the audio, but in bypass mode it gets... bypassed

At buffer size 10 ms, or less?

Anyway, apparently the screen drawing is still causing issues, so I'll have to reduce the priority of that - if possible...

Without screen drawing low buffer sizes are ok then? So it's really just Stereo Tool that's bothering Stereo Tool now? Or also open FF etc. - with ST minimized, screen display speed 0?

10ms and more, cause no click when all is maximized, opening other windows .. etc ..
Most 'clicks' are when i am 'refreshing' desktop. btw it's full of icons.

So, just to be sure I understand everything correctly:

- Window maximized, maximum update speed, opening other windows, refreshing desktop: Buffer size must be at least 10 ms.

- Window minimized, minimum update speed, not doing anything else: Buffer size can be much smaller (1.7 ms?)

- What about: Window minimized, minimum update speed, but opening/closing other windows, refreshing desktop etc?
