Nice! It's possible now to change the size of the windows!
For configuration, less clicking, it seems o.k.

For monitoring however, I still don't need the config screen to be visible...
Can you make the visibility of the config screen switchable?

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-023.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-023.exe

Note: Default skin is still mine, use Bojcha's for a much better look. He's still working on it though....

Updates:
- Disabled widgets text grayed out
- Lots of small display improvements (widgets are aligned better, a.o. the meters in the config panel)
- Multiband settings are now all visible at once if the screen is wide enough.

@Wunjo: I will.

I'm going to guess at something and see if I'm right...

You use more than one monitor?

****

The way it was in 22 was satisfactory to me, given that I never run the program maximized / at full width. The remaining clicking to a single sub-menu was not overly cumbersome. 23 just enables the bands to fit (barely) in 1280 pixels. I didn't get an exact measurement, I just know that I had almost no room left to resize the width when the bands showed up.

So, this will help multi-monitor folks and those with larger screens so that they don't have to use it maximized.

What I do still miss is the ability to use my mouse wheel to change settings.

I have run into some....confusion.... :? .... of a technical nature.

Noise Gate has 7 bands. Multiband has 10 bands. This causes a few questions:

- What are the bands in Noise Gate?
- Do they behave similarly to a band in multiband with respect to the +/- 20% distance from their center frequency?
- Why are there fewer bands in Noise Gate?

I may have asked this before, and if I did, then either I don't remember the answer or the answer given did not make sense.

Actually, I'm working on my laptop with its built-in 17" display - the resolution of it is 1920x1080 though.

The limit is 1250 pixels - if I allow the bands to show up at smaller sizes the texts are cut off too much making it difficult to know what you're doing.

What's wrong with using it maximized?

True, I still need to implement that. And fix text input (which worked before but is broken now for some reason).

The 1st Noise Gate band corresponds to the first 4 MB bands, the others are the same (assuming default frequency settings), incuding this 20% thing. Reason? There's not much reason to have so many low frequency bands in a noise gate, since you mainly hear it at higher frequencies anyway.

So, since I've altered from the default bands, all of it is based on the default bands, or does it use my first 4 bands, then the remaining default bands? I'm fairly sure you mean all of it is default, but just want to validate.

As for "why not maximized", if it's not maximized, then I can look at other applications as well as yours, or files/folders on my system, should I choose. There was no need in maximizing with the previous GUI, as you instantiated new child windows without putting them in a frame (target?) in the main application.

Personally, I'd love to have two monitors like I had at one job. During the week that I was on-call, the ticketing application occupied one monitor and I'd use the second monitor for Remote Desktop into the remote locations, looking at code, etc... On the other weeks, it was handy for running the point-of-sale application on one and mail, browser, and the development IDE on the other.

I HAVE JUST REWRITTEN THE BOTTOM PART OF THE DISPLAY - IT NOW ADJUSTS WHAT YOU SEE BASED ON THE WINDOW SIZE. IF THERE'S ENOUGH ROOM IT SHOWS BOTH THE SCOPES AND THE METERS. AND IF THE WINDOW IS VERY HIGH IT SHOWS THE SCOPES BELOW THE METERS. ALSO THE ISSUE WITH VERTICAL SPACE AROUND THE VOLUME METERS IS FIXED NOW.

PS: IN CASE YOU WONDER WHY I'M SHOUTING: IT'S INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caps_lock# ... s_Lock_Day

So in the next release all the text in stereo tool is in caps? :D
Maybe you should start with Bypass button then to make it the same as the RESET LOAD SAVE PRESET buttons.
