Well, I think I'll keep this change then - the bass level (when I measure it - can't say I can hear it) is slightly higher which is good. And I also had the impression that the "S" distortion is slightly reduced (especially at very high Loudness values).

I always update the Winamp link a few days later. They manually review every version that is sent to them, and I just want to make sure first that there are no very big bugs left. If I don't receive complaints for a number of days, I download the version from my site and send it to Winamp, and then it can still take a few days before their site is updated.

On my own site, if there's a problem, I can update it immediately.

@ Hans

I am little bit confused what was updated.

Is it the official download
http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... taller.exe
?

Or a Beta version download
dsp_stereo_tool_installer_beta.exe
or
dsp_stereo_tool_installer_beta2.exe
?

Thank you in advance !

Michi ..
http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... r_BETA.exe 683 KB (700,357 bytes)
and
http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... r_BETA.exe 708 KB (725,289 bytes)

that shuld be last.

Don't expect anything major in this update. It's a VERY minor change in the sound, and I've fixed a few bugs that have been reported since I released version 4.00 (VST plugin problem, someone complained that he couldn't open a configuration window twice - my guess was that it was already open but hidden behind some other windows and now if you click to open a window it is also sent to the front) - just minor stuff.

I have now also changed a few settings a bit, and the bass level in the beta is now roughly identical to that in version 3.55, also for high Loudness values. No change in high frequency distortion as far as I have heard.

i put it on transmitter and i don't know about lows but highs are still good.

btw, i changed PC on transmitter now it's intel c2d e5200 and i see now that cpu fix make intels to have les cpu usage ... not only amd cpus are updated by that fix. Now is around 35% on both cores.

This pc have other soundchip, it's Realtek ALC889 .. and noise on that chip is even lower ... about 10dB. On their site it says that snr is -104dB on previous ALC888 snr is -90.
still wait to come another Juli@ .. with snr -112 :)

@ Hans

When you don't give a special download link, all updates are
dsp_stereo_tool_installer_BETA.exe ?

Is this correct ?

Ok, I can compare file sizes.
For archiving and comparisons (a few days later) of different Beta versions it would be easier if you give every Beta its own build number.
For example:
dsp_stereo_tool_installer_4_BETA_004.exe
I hope three digits are enough (for 999 Beta builds !).

Of course I can rename all Betas with the date of build.
But then we will run in troubles when we want to discuss a special build
or we have to identify it from the differences in file size (in bytes).

@ Bojcha

ESI Juli@ :P
Congratulations !
Very good.
I remember a beautiful girl with this name (I won't ever forget her smile).
