i think 5.10 is ready 8-)
Any suggestion for default settings?

Since I want to remove filters that are no longer needed (for performance reasons, and to clean up the interface):
How did you set 'Allow louder lows'? (Above 8000 would equal removing this filter altogether).
Are you still using any of the filters like 'Improved loudness distortion protection', 'Very deep bass distortion protection'?

I might have another idea that might provide a better way to reduce distortion caused by deep bass, I still want to check if that works.

Well.. it's not what i expected...
Control over bass peeks/level is much better. (from 1st beta with this new clip)
Last two sliders can be removed, if you ask me (already well suited)

I can push 'allow louder bass' to 10000 (~7000/8000 is nice) but..
Problem, when "CLIP AT" is at 70% punch bass is kind low level, but certainly very safe.
so, House/trance/disco.. tracks have low bass beat level at 70% at ~90% is very nice and bass is very good qualiity but then it's not safe from distortion anymore.
As is said erlier, it will be nice that we can set "Clip at" at ~90% but dynamically lowered 'when necessary' to 70% (or lower)
I don't have idea how that can be done, only i can guess...

i noticed sound improvemnet at all freqs special at highs and high/low... as i said its allready on air and the sound is more crystal than last version
Vocals are very clear and all freqs are at very good leveling....

Clip Default
from 0 up to 55
Then rise to 100% at 200
High vs lows 400
to 1000

Try this settings....

ps..
can i have this beta with saved variables?? pls.! its the best sound i get from any other beta by now...

Hans, nice job!

Skipped a couple of versions but the bass processing is a very nice addon.
I really like the way that with stereotool you can do an MPX modulation of 100% and you can get an audiolevel of 115%. Btw the audio spectrum is still clean enough then and puts alot of high end processors to a shame.

It is slowly getting to a point where it almost can't get any better.

There was still a filter present that boosts lows when loud highs are present - this increases distortion. Removed now. Effect is small though - so this doesn't solve the distortion that Bojcha described.

I am testing it now on my 210 Kwatt FM radiostation.
It is loud and clean.
cleaner than breakaway ! louder than breakaway!

Ohhh my!!!!

Please check the performance of DC blocker filter becuse sometimes it doesnt protect the signal under extreme bass conditions.. :(
:ugeek:

That makes sense - removing the DC makes boosting the loudness more difficult...
