I don't really understand what you're saying here  - except for the "less noticable" part... Do you mean that it's an improvement or not?

By the way, the redrawing issue seems to be solved - I've just started the build and I'll upload it tomorrow morning.

Ok great :-)

This problem cannot be completely removed, but the new version seems to be the best so far regarding this issue.

By the way, I CAN reduce it further, but at the cost of reducing the level of the high frequencies further. And I'm not sure if that's a good idea...

Actually, I could just as well make this configurable. The clean highs/deep bass slider isn't very useful anymore right now, so I could replace it by a constant volume/loud highs slider.

I think I've catched the newest Beta version (solved AMD problem - "Stereo Tool 4.0" !).

Sound is great. :D
But the preset selection dialogue is flickering and this way too instable for my eyes (ATI 4850 with Catalyst 8.12, Windows XP Pro SP2). :(
I have no such flickering with any other application.

If this flickering could not be solved, I would prefer the old version 3.xy preset dialogue window.
Version without redrawing is online now. (BETA2, see previous post for links)

dsp_stereo_tool_installer_BETA2.exe
704 KB (721.197 bytes) ?

Is this the new build (without redrawing) ?
I downloaded it after your post here:
viewtopic.php?p=1755#p1755

Sorry, but it's still flickering.
It looks as if this flickering steps down from one line (preset name) to the other
every 0.3 seconds (more or less).
Like some of my early Amiga BASIC graphics programmings.

It doesn't matter if I move the mouse and is independant from the mouse pointer's position (no difference if the mouse pointer is inside or outside the screen area of the preset dialogue).

I really hope that I've grabbed the wrong download.
Hans, please tell me that dsp_stereo_tool_installer_BETA2.exe
704 KB (721.197 bytes)
is not the correct version (without redrawing) !?!
