I would suggest the password be put somewhere, a little harder for the average user to find. While it may not be necessary to encrypt it, putting it in the ini file isn't much of a challenge.

I would use the password in the very few possible installations where keeping unqualified people out might be necessary. Unfortunately, it wouldn't take long for some of those folks to stumble on the ini file.

If you do not know what FM BROADCAST is and what 75 khz is then you just talking to the ...wall :)

ALL RADIOSTATION SUPERVISORS , WAAAAAAAAAAAAANT THEIR RADIOSTATION TO BE LOUDER THAN OTHERS OR ...AT LEAST THE SAME AS OTHERS WHO PLAY AT 120 khz and lose their " multipath distortion " areas .. :)

So simple.

You can play at 75 or even better at 63 KHz be loud ...and have excellent signal even at areas where " multipath distortion " comes from everywhere :)

Loudness wars in 2016? Loudness is generally expected for broadcasting, but if one cranks the proverbial "loudness knob" so far it breaks off the limiter - "They've gone to plaid!" o.0 - listeners might do something about it these days. Assuming average listeners probably do not have Perfect Declipper DSP licenses, I suppose most could simply click the next web feed on their playlists or turn their radios' tuners. YMMV, especially for your listener count, of course.
