No, it should be roughly the same. Do you see an increase?

BETA745-004:

Windows 32 bit:
Windows stand alone: http://maxfm.rs/stereotool/stereo_tool_ ... 45-004.exe (link provided by Bojcha - thanks!)
WINAMP DSP: http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/43478845/file.html

CHANGES:
- Added gate to stereo delay
- Added extra L-R vs L+R detection with different attack/release timings, actions are now taken based on the minimum of these two.
- Fixed lowpass filter slope and added option to set the level above the maximum lowpass frequency.
- Highpass and lowpass freqs are now locked (you cannot set the 2nd below the 1st.
- Changed ranges and default settings.

OLDER:
- Added settings to control limiter response speed.
- Changed default speed settings to get a much more constant sound level without jumping up and down
- Highpass and lowpass (!) filter added
- Added option to also limit the input stereo level.

- Stereo Delay now also visible in other than 'Extreme Tweaker' mode
- Stereo Delay limiter added. Also in case of existing extreme stereo it is switched off completely.
- Stereo Delay now also works with 0 delay (behaves more like Stereo Boost).
- Stereo Delay does not boost bass below 150 Hz, with a slope going up to 300 Hz.

- Natural Dynamics worked slightly different in version 7.43 and 7.44, and it turns out that it sounded worse (the bass is boosted much longer, causing excessive bass). Sound of version 7.42 is restored.
- New stereo widener added, based on techniques used in some famous stereo wideners since the 1980's. For now (I will change this) only available in Extreme Tweakers mode. See below.

TODO:
- Add Balance (for input sound card)
- think of a better name
- Check nelson c's 7.44 problem (Juli@ driver issue?)
- Wait for feedback and maybe improve stereo delay further

My site complains that there's a virus in them and removed them automatically. I have uploaded them to VirusTotal and they are clean according to the 54 (!) virus scanners that they run it through. Bojcha has uploaded the stand alone version to his site, and I've uploaded the DSP to Zippyshare, so please use the updated links to download. I hope that the next version will be ok again...

Ah. Single core must be the important thing here I think. I've heard something similar from one other person. I've done a measurement and the latest (7.45 beta) version has exactly the same CPU load as 7.42 (I've improved the limiters which should cause some increase, but it seems so small that I cannot measure it here).

Can you tell me how high the "Percentage of time in processing" meter is? It's under Configuration -> CPU & Latency. Please set the GUI update speed to 1% so it doesn't interfere.

Can you send me your preset? With some standard presets I see no difference at all between version 7.42, 7.44 and the latest beta.

I'm looking for a more 'sexy' name for 'Stereo Delay'. Any ideas?

"DRS Stereo" (stands for Delayed Repeat Stereo)

The name should be Stereo Enhancer. A simple and descriptive name....
