LINUX Jack stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... ETA724-031

- Linux: Final check with valgrind on test system
- Linux: Jack buffers 'leak' on startup. -> Immediate restart added after startup.
- Linux: Keep sound card settings if Jack not available or output not available.

The buffer filling is not always exactly the same after a restart (it is NEARLY exactly the same, but that's not good enough for to reliably reach low latencies). Not sure yet why, on Windows it's fine. There is some code that I disabled in Linux because it caused issues - I'm starting to think I do still need it.

Windows Standalone beta 24-30, natural dynamics is not showing up anymore with it enabled? at least I can't find it...

@Powersound: I didn't change anything there!

After some feedback from Bojcha, I'm now rewriting the sound card recovery behavior: I thought that the new behavior that I created was better than before, but it turns out that it was causing unwanted effects. For example, if you change the buffer size with WINMM output, the buffer becomes fuller and fuller. The reason for this is that during the closing of the sound card output (which takes some time while all the audio is flushed), input keeps coming in, and as soon as the sound card is available again all the data that has been piling up is sent to all the outputs.

The safer solution is to completely restart the whole audio engine whenever:
- An output is turned on or off
- A buffer size is changed
- A sound card is changed
- Sample rate is changed
- Input or output buffer overflows. Underflowing does NOT require a restart!

I still have some unexplained behavior at some points, and I want to understand what's happening before I create a new beta version.

I may have also found the reason for the Jack buffer filling fluctuations, but I need my Linux pc to test it (tomorrow).

And in what version it's visible in gui?

Edit: found it - and it;s visible in beta30

Nothing wrong with ND. Shows up in UI - VST and Standalone last beta.

It should pop up on the left menu right? At least that's what I remember...

Yes. But first you need to open the .ini file and search for this line:
OVERRIDE: ShowNaturalDynamics=0
And replace 0 by 1.

Thx, will do that. But last I only changed the sts file and Natural Dynamics popped up...

using the latest beta dsp (winamp) plugin. If i change OVERRIDE: ShowNaturalDynamics to 1, save the file and then open Winamp, OVERRIDE: ShowNaturalDynamics is set back to 0. The problem is not occurring with the stand alone version.

btw, love Natural Dynamics! On my I7 it's only using 35% cpu :)
